Last updated: 15 June 2025

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit viscom-es.com, why we process it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

Viscom Engineering Services SRL
Sediul RADU STANCA 2B/2
400355 Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Tel: +40 (0) 36 47 36 499
E-mail: info@viscom-es.com

For any question about your data or this policy, write to info@viscom-es.com. Company registration details are in our Impressum.

2. Server log files

When you open our website, our web server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the browser type and the referring page. We use this data to deliver the site, keep it secure and find faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is kept only for a limited period and is then deleted or anonymised.

3. Contact form

If you use the contact form, you enter your name, e-mail address and message. We use this data only to answer your enquiry. Messages from the form are intended for info@viscom-es.com. The website does not store them in a database. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete your message once your request is dealt with, unless the law requires us to keep it.

4. Applications by e-mail

If you send us an application or CV by e-mail, as invited on our Career page, we use that data only to assess your application and to contact you about it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We keep applications only as long as needed for the selection process, unless you agree to longer storage.

5. Cookies

Our site sets one cookie, called cookie_consent. It stores whether you accepted or declined our cookie notice, so we do not ask you again on every visit. It lasts 180 days and contains no personal profile. It is needed to respect your choice (Law no. 506/2004 on privacy in electronic communications, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We currently use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If we add them in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first. More detail is in our Cookie Policy.

6. Third party content

Some of our pages load a JavaScript library (jQuery UI) from code.jquery.com. When your browser fetches it, the provider of that service receives your IP address. We use it to display the site correctly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our pages also contain links to social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Xing, Instagram). These are ordinary links. No data is passed to those networks unless you click one, and their own privacy policies then apply.

7. Who receives your data

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with service providers who help us run the website and e-mail, and with authorities where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To use these rights, write to info@viscom-es.com.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Romania this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Sector 1, Bucharest, website: www.dataprotection.ro.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The current version is always on this page.
